Homeowner Wildfire Discount Checklist

There are three tiers of homeowners insurance discounts available for our clients. The questions below will help us find out which discounts your home may qualify for and identify any opportunities for additional savings.

Client & Property Information

Essential

A. The dwelling has a Class-A Fire Rated Roof (asphalt fiberglass composition shingles, stone, concrete or clay tile, or metal).
B. The dwelling has 5 feet of maintained defensible space.
C. The dwelling has ember and fire-resistant vents with 1/16-inch to 1/8-inch non-combustible, corrosion-resistant metal screening, such as stainless steel.
D. The dwelling has at minimum 6 inches of non-combustible clearance at wall base.
E. The dwelling has only non-combustible materials & fencing within 5 feet.

Enhanced

*All Essential requirements must be met to qualify for the Enhanced discount.

A. The dwelling has upgraded windows (multi-paned) or functional shutters.
B. The dwelling has metal gutter and downspouts.
C. All other structures are at minimum 10 feet away and have at least 5 feet clearance.
D. There are no more than 3 accessory structures within 30 feet of the dwelling.

Elite

*All Essential & Enhanced requirements must be met to qualify for the Elite discount.

A. The dwelling has enclosed eaves.
B. The dwelling has non-combustible siding, doors & shutters.
C. The dwelling has metal dryer vents with a louver / flap.
D. The dwelling has a fully non-combustible deck.
E. There are no structures within 30 feet of the dwelling.
