Wildfire Hardening Community Discount

A. The dwelling is located in a Fire Risk Reduction Community listed by the Board of Forestry pursuant to Public Resources Code section 4290.1.

B. The dwelling is located in a Firewise USA Site in Good Standing.

Wildfire Hardening Structure Discount

A. The dwelling has a Class-A Fire Rated Roof (asphalt fiberglass composition shingles, stone, concrete or clay tile, or metal).
B. The dwelling has enclosed eaves.
C. The dwelling has ember and fire-resistant vents with 1/16-inch to 1/8-inch non-combustible, corrosion-resistant metal screening, such as stainless steel.
D. The dwelling has upgraded windows (multi-paned) or functional shutters.
E. The dwelling has 6 inches at the bottom of all exterior walls made of non-combustible material.

Wildfire Hardening Immediate Surroundings Discount

A. Vegetation and debris have been cleared from under decks.
B. Vegetation, debris, mulch, and other combustible materials have been cleared within 5 feet of the dwelling.
C. Only noncombustible materials are incorporated into improvements, including fences and gates, within 5 feet of the dwelling.
D. Combustible sheds and other outbuildings are more than 30 feet from the dwelling, or as far from the dwelling as possible within the area under the applicant's or policyholder's control.
E. Trees surrounding the dwelling have been trimmed, brush and debris removed from the yard, and the property complies with state and local defensible-space ordinances, such as California Public Resources Code Section 4291.
